MY DOG IS LIKE ME! HOW IS YOUR DOG LIKE YOU? by Sandra Smith is a cleverly written children’s book that portrays the love between a little girl and her dog. It’s just an adorable little book! The child who is fortunate enough to get to read it will improve their reading skills because of the fun repetitions and learning the meaning of perhaps new words such as “timid” and “contrite”. The way the author used these playful interactions between a child and their pet to reveal God’s love for them is also quite amazing. And the artwork by Cat Boysen is just phenomenal! I have bought several of these books for my friends’ grandchildren; they make a wonderful gift!
