MORE ABOUT MY JOURNEY – God is so creative, and He loves to surprise! So 17 years ago, through a prophetic word, and to my utter amazement, God called me to my “greater destiny”. It was so unexpected, yet I could definitely see His Hand in it. Actually, He passed several new "assignments" out to me that day. 

DREAM BIG!!

In previous years the Scriptures in Titus 2:3-5 had taught me that God calls older women to mentor and teach younger women. I have always taken this mandate very seriously and knew God has been preparing me, but I had not given the realization of His dream a lot of practical thought. In my mind, until that point, I had already attained my highest and most fulfilling calling which was a lifelong ambition to rear a family. They will always be my first priority, but now, as I continue to obey God's call, I can extend my reach to many more women via the Internet. It’s amazing to me--I truly never dreamed I’d do anything more. Ultimately though, it’s about what God wants, isn’t it? The reality is, we can never overestimate God’s big dreams!!

A BIG ASSIGNMENT

I can also “blame” this new direction on my husband, lol…God has a way of speaking through our husbands! Early in our marriage, he'd encourage me to write children’s books when it would never have entered my mind. When I finally took the plunge, he also suggested I publish them myself. I agreed, so in 2016, besides launching and later closing a home business, ‘Sandra’s Baskets by Design’, I wrote my first book for women. Titling it GROUNDED, Simple Tips for Living Well, I next established my own self-publishing company.

ABOUT BEAUTIFULLY SIMPLE PUBLISHING

God led me to name my fledgling company Beautifully Simple Publishing. I laugh now -- the reason is becoming more apparent to me every day! Certainly, it has taken time to get traction, and the process has been painful. However, as with anything worthwhile, foundations built to last absolutely take wise and careful preparation. As I can attest, God truly works good into all things for His children. And, as He has proven to me repeatedly, His timing is always perfect.

TOOLS TO EQUIP YOU

As with any avid reader, I love the written word. Books, tracts, Bible studies, letters, songs, poetry, journaling...I love to write, and I’ve simply learned way too much to hoard it! My books and blog articles are ways I can now share my life’s journey so perhaps you can avoid some of my missteps. They will pertain to all things’ marriage/family/ homemaking/natural health & beauty/home-education. My purpose is to assist you--to equip and empower you as women of strength who can also inspire and teach others. As you explore my site, you will find musings & observations, practical tips, wisdom from God’s Word, and more.

PAYING IT FORWARD

My passion is all about effectively imparting the Faith so that you can run the race better than we who have preceded you. And above all, Jesus is my reason for getting up in the morning. He is honestly the greatest love of my life! Since our initial encounter, the road has been fulfilling yet bumpy--there have been potholes, rough patches, a turn or twist here and there. However, God’s love has never failed me. Not even once. He has faithfully led my family and me through some crazy times. If I can pay it forward to any degree, it will be worth it all.
